Don't think in terms of the rest of your life. One day there may be a cure for Crohn's....but for now the diet the doctor gave you is what you will have to eat. It's damn hard to be 17 and have a disease that seems to take all the fun out of enjoying food (diabetics go through it, too) but believe me when I tell you...after a couple of horribly painful flare ups of your Crohn's--because you ate something you shouldn't have--you'll do what the doctor tells you.

The best thing to do is to take care of yourself. If you don't, who will? Think about it !!
