I seriously disagree with that answer.
The real reason is we see that there is no serious damage so we laugh; but if there is real damage sometimes it takes a moment for our brains to register that something isn't funny! This is a known fact!

I do laugh when someone slips and falls, and I AM glad it wasnt me... hehe.
I like satire and sarcasm the most those. I like it when I get a joke and no one else does. I am really big on the sarcasm. And I have a way of saying really important things nonchalantly.
Like once me and a bunch of my friends were at McDonalds and my friend Marissa went to get us some ketchup and this guy Ron found a small hair in one of his fries (could have come from anywhere, even us) but we concluded it was a pubic hair and we were laughing and Marissa got back and asked what was funny and I said (very nonchalantly) ron found a pubic hair on his fry, and my friend ronica was drinking when i said it and she spilled pop out of her nose....
I guess you would have had to be there.

i dont have a sense of humor.
i laugh at things that i imagine in my mind as i hear people speaking but often times i laugh at what they think is not funny.
When i hear things that most people laugh at, im cringing in my seat hoping to get out of the room without being noticed
i can laugh out loud in a room of people that are laughing and i can wince in a room of people laughing
i dont think i have ever laughed when i saw someone fall on the ice. I lived in alaska.
however i do know i have laughed at other peculiar circumstances that happen to others when i see it.
If i know that what is supposed to be funny is actuall some sort of suffering. I cannot laugh

I have a multlple sense of humor...I can laugh at anything!!! I know it's probably not funny when someone falls, but it just cracks me up whether on tv, in real life, it's just funny, Unless I can see they are truly hurt, then I don't laugh out loud.

I have a dry sense of humor. I don't laugh when someone falls, but I try to help them out.

Well I suppose there might be occasions when somebody falling would be amusing. For example if they were boasting about their keen sense of balance or something like that, but mostly no, I don't find people injuring themselves particularly funny, even when it's meant to be, and even though I am glad it wasn't me.

No, I wouldn't laugh because that would embarass the person. i would probably pretend I didn't see it happen.
And I have a dry sense of humor. People are always laughing at me.

I probably will laugh depending who fell and how they fell. But if it was some elderly then I won't laugh because it wouldn't be funny.

I do not laugh when someone falls. I help them up. I laugh at good, clean jokes and at my own mistakes.
