If you believe in the anti-gunners' mantra that, "more people are hurt/killed by trying to protect themselves with firearms than crimes/criminals are stopped", would you be willing to visit: www.nraila.org, then use the search window to look up, "The Armed Citizen", and read real stories about regular folks using firearms to protect themselves & others against violent criminals?
Then, would you be willing to objectively look at your own anti-gun beliefs in a new light?

For "hichef" below, do you have any sources for your PURPORTED list of "facts"?
I see you didn't post any, yet you feel inclined to insult anything the NRA might post.

Well, "hichef" what ARE your sources. I've shown you mine, which you've denigrated with no good reasoning.
All I'm asking is WHERE you got your statistics.

Now, "hichef" has resorted to insults. And the Dems call others "mean -spirited". I think "hichef" needs to know if she keeps parroting what the anti-gunners say, her beloved fiance will lose his right to own his firearms.

The only way to convince someone that those of us who believe
in gun ownership by honest citizens, is for them to get into a
situation where a gun in their hands or in the hands of someone
who is with them at the time, would have saved their life.

Unfortunately, then it's too late, because they're dead at the hands of some gang banger.

I know the main argument they use is that the police are
supposed to protect us, it's there lob, only it isn't. The police
departments job is to protect the community not the
individual. Check the supreme court decisions.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a nice day.

Thank you very much, while you're up!!!!!!!

No. I do not feel that practical ideas have outcome on others--instead, it has extra of an affect at the individual who's pondering them! Negativity breeds extra negativity...it's human nature to suppose sour and desire unhealthy matters on folks who damage us. You should not suppose guilt for that. But once we reside on the ones desires and ideas, it is a poison for your center that results the best way you suppose, act and talk. If what your announcing as real, every body could be in poor health if no longer lifeless, all the time. Especially in the course of rush hour!!!

this nation was founded on the firearm, I beleive all who reside here and are of age should be able to own and carry a firearm, the trampling of the 2nd ammendment would cause the founders of this country to roll over in their graves, how else are we suspossed to protect ourselves against, crime, or even our own governemnt which is what Thomas Jefferson said about the ammendment he authored

I am all for guns in the hands of law abiding citizens. It will be a cold day in hell when they take my guns away from me. If you take away the law-abiding citizen's guns, you hand them over to the criminals, plain and simple.

I agree with you completely. Gun control just does not work. It leaves all of the criminals with the weapons and the average citizen has no defense and no rights.
