When we talk about percentages, we usually talk about 100 %
so 0.032 is 3.2 % and 0.875 is 87.5 %.

You can derive this from the formula:

% = specific value divided by 100

so , % = 0.032 multiplied by 100 = 3.2 %
% = 0.875 multiplied by 100 = 87.5 %

Fractions, percentages, and decimals are all the same. 1/4 is the same as 25% or 1.0 divided by 4....but anyway 0.032 is 32 thousanths or 32/1000. (one decimal place is tenth 0.1= 1/10...two decimal places is 25/100=0.25) You may have to simplify the fraction if needed.

If you would like to convert a decimal into a percentage. Just multiply it by 100...or simply move the decimal point over two places to the right. 0.875 will become 87.5% or say .099=9.9%. To convert a percentage into a decimal divide it by 100 or simply move the the decimal point over two places to the left (i.e. 76.7%=0.767 into a fraction 767/100)

This is quite simple.

Rules: To make any decimal into a percentage, you move the decimal point 2 places to the right. To make any decimal into a fraction, you put the number over 1 and how ever many digits there are in the decimal.

Examples......
0.032 fraction = 32/1000 b/c you put the whole number over 1 and how many places there are in the decimal
0.12 fraction = 12/100
.00004 fraction = 4/100000

.23 percentage = 23%
.2 percentage = 2%
.873 = 87.3 %
.79232 = 79.232 %
12.9847 = 1298.47%
