Adware or advertising-supported software is any software package which automatically plays, displays, or downloads advertising material to a computer after the software is installed on it or while the application is being used.you can remove it using spybot search and destroy.

adaware is a program or files added to your pc thru shareware or other means that send info back to a server and as a result you can get pop ups, added programs running on your pc.
thats a general term answer.
best way to get rid of it is
www.lavasoft.com
se personal its free
get update, reboot and do a full scan.
check for updates frequesntly, generally every week or more often sometimes.
adaware is not a anti-virus program it will not remove a virus or trojan.

Ä°f it is ad-aware, do not remove and use it to delete viruses....
