*this isn't about pro WWE/WWF wrestling*
I wrestle currently in junior high, and some matches are 1min 30sec each round, and some are only a minute. I haven't found any pattern in this, and it's not varsity/junior varsity either, because some varsity have 1 minute matches. Can anyone explain this?

It is designed to keep inline with the attention span of the audience.
As you probably know wrestling fans have a very short attention span.

I think match lentgh are decide by specfic weight classes do not no why that is just how it is done

1 min. is for pre lims
1.5 is for finals
keep your head up and your hips centered
and eyes on the belly
