If the shake is in the steering then the problem is most likely coming from the front end.
If you feel it in the seat it is most likely in coming from the rear end of the car.

If the shake is only at low speeds say below 20 mph, then it is probably a separated steel belt in one of your tires.

If it is a higher speeds then a wheel balance problem is your most likely problem. It is also possible to have a high speed shake that comes from drive-train issues such as cv axle or bent drive shaft.Or even warp rotors or brake drums but when this is the case it usually gets worse when apply the brakes at speed.

Like Mikey and frank f have mentioned. You did not get the entire tale. There is NO WAY the police or any one however the proprietor of the automobile goes to have got to pay for damages and prefer acknowledged this is why. If spikes are used on a auto, it used to be without doubt in a pursuit. This implies that the driving force is breaking the legislation for no longer pulling over. (Even if it used to be the unsuitable automobile) At this factor the driving force goes to be arrested and is committing a criminal offense. The police use spike strips to quit the auto, and driving force is arrested. Any harm to the auto that's prompted is the accountability of the driving force or proprietor at this factor.

High speed wobble can be alignment, unbalanced or unevenly worn tire, struts, CV joint, etc. Get it up on a rack and let a mechanic check it out....we can't see it!

the tires are causing the vibration but there could be a front end problem causing the tires to separate

Ditto to most of the others or it could also be a tire that is out of round.
