8 days is not to soon to see if you are pregnant. In fact most pregnancy tests now over the counter that is can detect a day before your late to the first day of your missed period. At 8 days there should be enough HCG to give off a positive result.
I say wait 2-3 more days and retest if you are still late and it comes up negative its time to make a doctors apt. Good luck to you.

Its not to soon to tell. You should have taken the test first thing in the morning though, there may not have been enough of the pregnancy hormone in your urine for it to be detected by the test. Take another test in the morning and see what the results of that are, if its still negative and you really believe you are pregnant go see your doctor and ask about a blood test or wait a couple more days to see if your period shows up and then retest if it doesn't.
Good Luck and I hope you get the results you were hoping for.

I would retest tomorrow AM (first urine). Sometimes it is mind over matter -honestly! There have been times when I thought for sure I was pregnant - had all the classic symptoms, (late, food cravings, etc) but then I tested and it was negative. Within 24 hours of testing negative, I got my period.
Is is possible that you are off a week and miscalculated your cycle?
Good luck!

You can take a test and get the correct answer up to 5 days before your missed period....
Try taking the test first thing in the morning, its the most accurate way to tell, but if you are already 8 days late, I would just think you aren't pregnant.....
If you want to double check, you can have your doctor do a blood test on you!
Good luck!

A home pregnancy test should be able to tell the day after you miss your period, but they are not 100%. I would wait the weekend and then go to your clinic for a test there.

Most women will have a positive by now if they are pregnant but some require extra time. Give yourself a few more days and try again using first urine of the day - proteins are more concentrated than in the evening.

in all probability. Paricularly on the grounds which you're observing a million beneficial out of four checks entire. became the traditional practitioner's workplace attempt a urine or blood attempt? fake positives are very uncommon and by using an quite defective attempt, by using fact the attempt seems for the presence of a hormone it relatively is barely modern for the duration of being pregnant. on the different hand... while you're very overdue (extra effective than 2-3 months), it particularly is beneficial to have your wide-spread practitioner do a handbook examination. it particularly is my information that the hormone examined for would not get picked up in later being pregnant, in simple terms in early being pregnant. by making use of the time you're just about a trimester alongside, i think of a doctor ought to diagnose you by making use of having a sense around, nonetheless. while you at the instant are not getting the solutions you like out of your wide-spread practitioner's workplace, attempt to locate yet another one. it relatively is the place you need to be asking now.

If you are, in fact, eight days late, then you are probably not pregnant. However, you could have miscalculated your days...or you could have not ovulated this month, in which case you would not get a period.
If you did ovulate, you will get your period -- stress, illness, etc. can throw off, delay, or keep you from ovulating....once you ovulate, however, you're period should come withint 14 to 16 days. Stress will not throw off your period once you've ovulate.

It is early, and once in awhile some women do miss periods for unknown reasons. Maybe too you didn't do it right or there was something wrong with the test kit. Wait another week and try again if you don't start.

I would wait awhile longer do another test, and if still none, go to your doctor to get the pregnancy test done. that is more accurate. good luck.
