Honda Civic 2002 EX
My battery died yesterday, but I was able to recharge it. Now the problem is that I have the SRS light in the dashboard on, and the radio which is locked.

How do I fix those 2 issues?

The SRS light could possibly be reset by disconnecting the battery negative cable for 5 minutes but this indicates some fault in the system which will require an analyzer to determine the cause. It will most likely come back on, indicating that the SRS system is inoperative. It may take an analyzer to reset the light even if there is no fault in the system. If you don't have the code to unlock the radio (see owner's manual) you will have to go to a dealer and have them unlock it. This is a theft prevention device so that it renders the radio inoperative if it is removed from the vehicle or in your case, has lost battery power. Also, you should check the alternator and the battery - one or both of these could be bad and continue to cause problems - possibly damaging sensitive electrical components.

I somewhat have an same problem. it truly is the Supplemental Restraint gadget (SRS). Mine got here on 2 yrs in the past. fortunately, i do not must have a vehicle inspection, so I purely positioned somewhat of black electric powered tape over it. Out of interest, I purely noted as the Honda broking. many stuff may reason the SRS basic to exhibit on. after I checked on having mine repaired 2 yrs in the past, they had to price me $800 with out even understanding the project. to fix this problem, you virtually ought to bypass to the dealership and let them run diagnostics on it. There are different questions about Yahoo related to this similar project. you would favor to study those. it truly is an somewhat problem-free problem. Honda must have recalled this, yet there isn't any bear in mind. I purely checked! wish this helps.

You probably have what is called a "body sensor" that has gone bad on your car. You should take it to a dealer to get the part replaced.
