why do we honor and reach out to the sick, nearly dead and freshly dead ten times more then the living? wtf is up with that ?

This is a good question, and probably has something to do with not seeing them ever again in life....but i have often said that you cannot love a person more when they are dead, than when they were alive, it just dosent make sense, it would be wiser to love them while they were still living.

Because it's a last chance to say what is being felt and ask for forgivness or to forgive and feel that our hearts are at rest. Its not for the sick dead or dying that we reach out its for ourselves.

if you were dying or dead would you want people to reach out to you in your time of need, well i guess you would not since you don't understand why we do in the first place. if it is possible to know what your loved ones are saying to you in the afterlife i think their word would comfort you and let you know you were loved.
