I have played every game said so far other then Tantra and I have to say Guild Wars is not at good. Let me tell you why. I have the first guild wars but not the new x-pac of it or whatever just came out. The bad things about the game is that every time you do a quest you can not meet people while you do it you HAVE to make the party in town. In every game I have played you can meet people outside of town to get a group going not in Guild Wars and that is bad because the name would make it where its easy to meet people. Every place (other then town) is a instance of itself meaning only you and whoever is already in your group can see it.
World of Warcraft has to be the best game out so far. The game has a great battle system and every class is very different from each other. The Burning Crusade (x-pac) is going to come out in about a month so that is even better. The game is just very good and has a resting system for people that don't play it every second of every day. The rest system is when you are in town or a tavern and log off (or just sit in there) your xp bar will go up to 200% more xp. The longer you stay in the more 200% you have to get.

I've played many of the major MMORPGs (Everquest 1 and 2, Star Wars Galaxies, Dark Age of Camelot, Final Fantasy 11, World of Warcraft, Horizons)
I have to say that World of Warcraft is by far the most superior of all these games. Why? Because they have done just about everything right. They haven't done everything BEST, but they've done it right. The character creation/advancement is solid. It provides a good amount of customization once you hit level 10 (talent points). The quests are very good. A wide mix of kill, collection, delivery, as well as misc quest types (take this seed and bury it in that area and bring back what comes up). The quests give excellent experience, and for the most part good loot. Not every quest will give you something you can use, but since you have choices on the reward, most of the time you will have something you can choose. Generally, you can do a quest of your level, occasionally needing a group. The game is very soloable (I did so pretty much up to 60, with groups every now and then with my wife and friends) but also has a lot of group-oriented areas (dungeon instances). It is easy to outfit your character with good items while just going through the standard game. Mobs that you are fighting will drop similar level armor and weapons, so it's not hard to get outfitted. The PVP system is good. I hate PVP (heh, and I'm on a PVP server...go figure) but I like the way PVP is done. There are several different things that a person can do when they log in...quest, craft, battlegrounds, group up for instances, glorify Chuck Norris in Barrens chat (LOL), explore, etc. My wife loves exploring. She will sit there for a couple hours just trying to uncover as much of her map as possible. And you get experience for uncovering new areas, so that's pretty cool. The crafting system is about average. Maybe a step above average. It's not great, but I have no real complaints about it. I would just prefer something more complex.
Honestly, if a game could take Star Wars Galaxies' crafting system, plus World of Warcraft's combat/quest/character advancement systems, mix it with Everquest 1's end-game character customization, and throw in a splash of Horizons' GM-run live server event system...there would be the perfect game for me!

It has to be World of Warcraft. That is the most addicting game I have ever played. And the PvP elements make it just that much better. There is nothing like teaming up with 3 or 4 other people and wiping your way through enemy after enemy. Gives you a feeling of total satisfaction

i would have to say runescape. it is the most addicting game i have ever played, and its is fun.you can team up with friends and kill lots of different enemies like steel dragons.although you have to be a high lv or there is no way you will be able to kill one. it is free to play or you can have a membership for $5 a month. i play it all the time and it is the best game i have ever played. just try it and youll see what i mean.
