If you need to change the pads you are better off to put new rotors on too. Most are at minimal tolerance when they are new these days and even if they are within spec to turn them, they are just that much thinner and more likely to warp. But, if they are within spec you can save a few dollars by turning them but there are decent aftermarket rotors that will probably give you better service for a longer period of time thereby saving you money in the long run. Don't get the cheapest ones.
