What is the best race and why, i dont want oppions i want facts right now i have a lvl 18 mage should i stay with him or get a new one, what should i do

Depends on what class you want, and what you're looking to do. For example, humans have diplomacy - really useful when trying to grind for faction. Taurens have war stomp - AoE stun that's great for PvP.
Every race has its advantages, and has a task/class that it's "best" for. Without more details, there simply isn't an answer for a single "best" race - Blizz designed for balance.

I definately would have to say A night elf druid. Not only are some of the spells devestating, but the ability to shape shift for the speed of a cat, the strength of a bear and so on. A druid is the essential part of any group. The warriors attack close and the druids throw the long range. Along with their confusion spell in PvP, they can be near unstoppable

mthgr8one's post is absolutely wrong. Night Elves can not be warlocks. The druid is the class that shapeshifts. It looks like he may have meant druid, but then threw in some warlock abilities as well.
As someone below said, there is no best race. There is only best race/class for your playstyle.

Ever race has different things that make them good
Human-Diplomacy
Gnome- Intel
Night Elf-Dodge and meld (turns inviso)
Dwarf-Stone Skin
On a mage going Gnome is a good idea.

well it depends on class and what spec your going and if your horde or alince. for alinces most people go gnome for mage since they have plus to int wich mages can use. some go humman for the plus 5% spirt wich is also helpfull for regeing mana and health faster i dont play horde so i have no clue about there racil stats it pretty much opion wich is better

It matters on your playing style. The Horde is better in PvP b/c of their racial abilites are more towards crowd control. One on 1 a good Alliance can beat a Horde.

an orc rogue was pretty good for me
