For me it would have to be screechy women singing: Think Whitney doing I will always love you, Mariah doing that thing where she warbles up and down her 12 million octaves, and pretty much most R and B and rap it just doesn't grab me and gets on my nerves. What music makes you want to tear out your own hair?

In 3rd place - c&w. The kind that has whining steel guitars and whining singers going on about loss, and heartache and death and disease. Pass me the pills!!!

2nd place. Anything by a 'diva' - whitney, mariah, beyonce etc- where they show off their 'impressive' vocal range. A special award in this category to Beyonce's one-woman destruction of Emotions - ego gone wild.

1st place. Dance music made by computers. Take a catchy well-known song from the past. extract one or, at most two lines from the chorus put them on a loop and throw some computer constructed howl over the top. All producers of songs like this along with the brain-dead morons who buy it shouldbe taken outside, lined up and shot.

Forget Kwygal. We rockers scream and headbang with guitars and drums simply because WE CAN AND THE PEOPLE FRIGGIN LOVE IT. BTW IT'S NOT CALLED SCREAMING, IT'S CALLED A GROWL AND YOU NEED LOTS OF TRAINING TO DO IT. IT'S REALLY HARD WORK. I WOULD KNOW.

Anyways, most country music pisses me off and I can't stand the band 4NonBlondes,,, Their singer is dreadful! MY BROTHER SINGS BETTER THAN THAT!

Hope u like this answer...

I would have to say hardcore rave music where the vocal pitch has been increased so much it sounds like a Pinky and Perky record. Generally the sort of music you hear on a bus/metro coming from the spotty chav's mobile phone.

cover versions where an artist or band takes an original song and of whom make a complete mockery of it. i am not a fan of cheesy and often depressing ballads either- i'm sick of hearing my heart will go on, hello by lionel richie, justin timberlake's cry me a river, beautiful by christina aguilera, without you- be it mariah carey or the act who originally recorded that song, i'm not in love by 10cc, i will always love you to name but many. and songs of which are overplayed on the radio all of the time, its incessant

Those really irritating dance songs that have that 'chipmunk' style of singing. Some kid was listening to it really loudly on the bus the other day and I wanted to punch him in the face. Also any chart music really. And country.

I would have to say anything that doesn't have melody. Screaming at the top of your lungs isn't music. I don't like rnb but I can't say it would make me scream. Death metal would top the list.
Merry X-mas all
