At my ex husband's funeral during the viewing, music was played by Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, etc. At the actual funeral the minister played keyboard and sung "Box of Rain" (Grateful Dead) and another friend performed "Stella Blue" (also GD). My mother attended the funeral and said it was the weirdest funeral she's ever been to. I thought it was the best because it really paid tribute to my ex who was a deadhead. I think our daughter is going to get a GD icon as a tattoo someday.
