Vaseline is a HORRIBLE thing to be using as a lubricant and yes it absolutely intereferes with sperm getting through - it acts like a physical barrier (although not nearly as good as a condom). I'm not saying you can't get pregnant, but your chances certainly decrease. don't use anything oil-based as it doesn't get absorbed by your body so it stays around for days and days until it naturally gets expelled with your own discharge. This ups your chance of getting vaginal infections as well because it doesn't allow the vaginal walls to breathe. Please use water-based lubricants from now on.

The first answer is correct, but... Most women can get pregnant when using lubricant as long as their partners have healthy sperm, which is the reason why lubricants are not contraception.

Preseed is an alternative, albeit an expensive one (most women I talked to said they used an open tube in two or three days past opening it instead of using it all at once and never had any issues, even though it is not recommended) and even that lowers slightly your chances on conceiving (they say it helps, but if you study the research carefully, it increases your chances only if it gets to the egg, but how would it get to the egg?).

Some women use egg white, but I have not seen any studies, so not sure whether it is not just a superstition. Your best bet by far is to try to get by without any artificial help, maybe with a long foreplay. Beware of the saliva, though. It might also help to investigate the cause of your dryness. I had the same issue on prenatal vitamins, so I stopped them and supplemented with other vitamin combination and my problems are gone.

Yes it can. Vaseline is thick and can cause a barrier...preventing sperm from getting where it needs to go and killing them off. KY Jelly and most other lubricants also kill sperm (so does saliva).
Go to www.preseed.com and order some. Its a lubricant made especially for women who are trying to get pregnant...its sperm friendly and some women claim it has helped them concieve within 1-2 cycles of using it.

if you will be satisfied with the sex and reach ed the climax of it, your vagina will be wet and sllipery through the help of the liquid comiong from the penis. no need to use any slippery things to make your vagina wet during sex. do not accustome yourself to use such vaseline always because it will only take the momentary ejaculation of your man partner and it will not last long until you reach your climax

I haven't heard of vaseline being sperm friendly, it's quite sticky so it probably will affect the ability to get pregnant.
