the nets record as of dec 16 is 9-13 while the bulls are 13-10. and if the top 3 spots go to the division leaders than why are the top 2 sports belong to clevland and detroit (as of the moring of dec 16)

looks like i'm going to be the first to answer correctly, its cause the nets are winning in there division, so even though the bulls do have a better record the first three "division winners" are always the top three

The Nets have beaten the Bulls in head to head competition therefore would give the Nets the playoff spot over the Bulls

the nets are winning their division!!!!!
it doesnt matter if they are 12-70 if they win their division they get the third place in the playoffs
since they r in the atlantic division and the bulls are in the cemtral division - the bulls arent winning their division - but the nets are
