The song is about DRIVING a distance.
Assuming 60 miles per hour (with no breaks), that would be an actual road distance of 1440 miles (2317 km).
As an approximation ... Butte, Montana is about 1463 miles (2354 km) from Tulsa. Los Angeles, California is 1437 miles (2312 km) away.
And, given that the songwriters are Burt Bacharach and Hal David, it's a reasonable assumption that they'd be in the LA area.

Thats where I live 24 hours from Tulsa .
If I left my home in Australia and flew to Tulsa USA it would take me about 24 hours to get there.

I think Gene Pitney was referring to the amount of time he'd have to spend travelling in order to get there. The song doesn't specify what velocity he intends travelling at in order to get to Tulsa, but that's rather a moot point anyway since he nicks off with some other floozy who is, one presumes, more geographically accessible.
Ho hum.

Well if you're 15 minutes down the road and you wait 23 hours and 45 minutes before driving there then you would be.

if you go to the north or south poles and stand right on the point where all the longitude lines converge, you can be 24 hours from everywhere at the same time. ;)

i think he meant he would be there in a day, or he was a day away from something. i dont think he was talking literally about how long it would take
