I work with a guy that acts very flirty toward me and normally his actions would make me think he was showing interest, but he talks about liking women. I just want to know if that's it, he's straight, or is there another possibility. I don't see why a gay or bi guy would play like that but I don't always understand people, so I'm throwing this one out there.

I think some people are just flirty. Its not neccessarily sexual, but can be. You surely have met gay men who flirt with women even though you know there is not sexual conquest in mind. He probably isn't even aware he is doing it, and he might think you are way off base by seeing what he can't.

Don't read too much into flirting, or assuming he is "bi" or gay or straight. He just sounds like an equal opportunity flirt. Look for something else before pegging him as anything. In the mean time, enjoy the flirting, its a compliment.

I walk into a gay bar and don't get hit on, I get lots of looks and people checking me out. It's all about attitude, I was with a girlfriend. Online is another story, if my pic is there I get the responses... So this guy might be Bi. I don't think I would hit on a co-worker unless I wanted people to know I was bi/gay.

Yes it happens all the time. A gay guy will act straight because He will like to get to know you more and hang out with you, cause He likes you not only physically, I assumed, He don't want to feel rejected just because he is gay. At the same time he will try to throw the bait to see if you fall for it. If you are straight, talk to him and sit everything straight before he get strng feelings for you. If you want to try it then just follow the rythm of the music.Good Luck!!!

What is your definition of acting straight? Are straight men all the same in their acting? What does it mean to you?

Perhaps your friend is just friendly and you could be misinterpreting his friendliness. Are you flirting with him? Are you turned on by thinking he is flirting with you?

I think if you are concerned, the next time you think he's flirting with you, ask him if he is. You will clear the air and there will be no more second guessing on your part.

No such thing as a str8 acting gay guy.

He would be a masculine gay gay.

It is as simple as that.

Hetero's would NEVER know that I am gay unless you saw me out on a date. My fellow gays can tell right away because I know how to get their gaydar buzzing ;)

Guys who are experiencing homosexual feelings keep it to themselves. They try to act like they are heterosexual on the outside but they are fantasizing about another man on the inside.

If there is family involved, he will be more descrete. I suggest you just talk with him and check out his eye contact as well as body language.

He might either be bisexual, or he is confused. Most men are straight first, then slowly move toward gay... Sounds to me like he's on the slow move...

He doesn't have to be confused about his sexuality. His flirting with you maybe because he's comfortable in his (straight) sexuality, doesn't feel threatened by you (and yours) and likes to flirt.
