In order to understand my meaning, I must refer you to my latest blog entry.

I have had numerous questions deleted, but I see others which are simply pure bone-headed ignorance and hate get passed off as legitimate questions by the censors.

The blog is an example of satire, which has the title "why is it that all white people are racist?". Since it is written by a guy with a white avatar, I would assume people know it's a joke.

So, maybe you think my humor isn't funny. But I cited many examples of non-humor which are just plain hateful. What's the deal? Is real hate ok, but making fun of hate somehow immoral?

Before you answer, I would like you to take a look at many of the "questions" that get posted on this forum. How many biased, unread, illiterate, vulgar, blatantly partisan, and racist tirades get passed off as legitimate?

Is anyone else frustrated by this?

Never assume people know you are joking, especially when your comments are written and not spoken. The problem is that, in the current political and social climate, everybody loves to be offended. All measure of irony or sarcasm have been virtually eliminated from public discourse. As for the Yahoo censors, they clearly do not look critically at the content of the posting, merely at the words used.

I am less frustrated that the Yahoo people miss some things as I am frustrated by the fact that the public-at-large is so bigoted and ignorant.

hate speech is not ok if you are white. it is only ok for members of other races to use! and political satire is not "politically correct". what a bunch of crap. politicians are so locked in to trying to get votes that common sense and fairness go out the window. to hell with the general public, cowtow to the so called minority vote. when will america wake up and demand (and elect) a government OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, AND FOR THE PEOPLE?

That's really too bad. I think Yahoo! needs to take a look at the people "moderating" this site.
