They certainly have a place in rock 'n' roll that no one can ever replace! They are timeless, classic, and their music will live on, much longer than so many bands from the last 10 years.

Of course not. Is this a joke?
Kiss is entertaining but I think even they would tell you they're nothing but a gimmick. They aren't technically as proficient as most of their peers, their songwriting is up there with the Bay City Rollers and their songs are nothing more than bubble gum pop. Why do you think they need to put on scary costumes? To hide their obvious flaws.
Still, a great live show.

Listen to "Beth" and see if you can possibly ask that again with a straight face.
Makeup on, makeup off, makeup on...
"You put the X in Sex"? Horrible title, worse song.
Greatest band ever? Gotta go with the Stones or Aerosmith, for staying power (beyond the Beatles).

they do no longer look to be! Led Zep could placed 'em to shame. So could the Stones of the 60s (with Brian Jones) AND the early 70s (with Mick Taylor).Aerosmith and pink Floyd (of the 70s), too.Beatles besides. KISS is Rock hall fabric, yet no longer the wonderful-too plenty opposition.

Yes, if factoring in the make-up and floor show. No, if you consider their talent is about average (I consider writing music/lyrics without outside help a major part of talent). I'm a huge fan of pre-Dynasty KISS.
