Have to have 2 cabins (2 separate families) as overnight crossing. Costing nearly £800.00 so can't afford to go. Any suggestions to do it cheaper or an alternative. Can only go for 5 nights. Thanks.

The St Malo overnight is very expensive I have stopped using it. I go to Calais average £60 return and stop over night about £40 each way. If you have only 5 days you could have a reclining seat instead of the 2 cabins

Look at LDL lines sails to Le Harve.
Look at flying with Ryan air to Dinard & car hire [ cant bring any shopping home though.
Speed ferries to Blougone bit of a drive but lots lots cheaper.
Searched Brittany ferries got £425[nicest to sail with]
Look at condor ferries sail to St Malo via channel isles
Keep searching

Hi

Check out Norfolk Lines and Speed Ferries.

They go to the North channel ports, but they are much cheaper and don't need cabins.

Of course you have a few hrs drive on the French side, but still much cheaper.

hiya, depends where you're going from. Transmanche ferries go out of Newhaven and you could drive to St Malo, that's what we did. Bad food on the ferry but roomy, clean cabins and dirt cheap!!!
