Tony Twist and John Kordic would have to be tied for second place all-time....but Bob Probert is by far the best fighter ever to lace up the skates in the NHL.

Bob Probert is the best fighter the NHL has ever had. Younger guys here might have only seen his end days struggles with the blackhawks, pick up a dvd of him in his prime. Guys behind him and would be argued over by their fans...Dave Brown,Ben Wilson, Joey Kocur. In todays sorry state of fighting it would be George Laraque with Derek Boogaard pressing him.

Rob Ray for a pure fighter, always did what was asked and never complained. Happy if he played 3 mintues or 30 seconds.

Rick Tocchet fighter and goal scorer... before he got in trouble with the law.

I only began watching hokey in the early 90's so i missed the greats like Dave "Tiger" Williams.

But my alltime list is :
1. Marty Mcsorely
2. Dale Hunter, he could score too
3. Tie Domi
4. Bob Probert, a real rugged player
5. Sean Avery

Essa Tikanen, I probably spelled his name wrong, but to me he is one of the best because he is super smart about it, hardly ever got penalties. I will never forget in the 94 SC series he got the butt of his stick up under the back of one guys helmet and pushed it up thus making the front go down and cover the guys eyes. A beautiful move.
He seemed to be able to just absoluetly piss the other team off and draw penalties left and right during that series and the whole playoff series before with the Devils.

To me, even though he wasnt a dominator on the ice, he was a neuscance to the other teams and caused alot of distractions, which made for key scoring opportunities for the Rangers.

Easy...Rob Ray. Anytime he was sent out on the ice you knew someone was in for it. He would just have that look like he was going to hurt someone.

The funny thing about Ray is that even though he is a brute on the ice, he is a real softy in real life. I've met him at some charity events. He's very supportive of the March of Dimes.

Let's go Buffalo!

my all time favourite Larry Robinson he smashed Schultz back in the 70's making him look like a little girl. Chris Nilan was another great fighter.
Bob Probert was on cocaine throughout his career if he wasn't high he would get his a-s-s kicked all the time and once he was off it i don't think he ever won a fight again.
