Popular topics are abortion, euthanasia, death penalty... but personally, I'm sick of discussing these topics. Did you know that the majority of our pollution/green house effect is produced by buildings and not SUV's? SUV's only make up about 4% of the problem. That might be something you want to research.

persuade your audience to use recycled timbers for their wood floors and other building materials over new materials. May want to touch on advantages/disadvantages to artificial/manufactured building materials.

You could research about the Vietnam war and was it an honest war or did the president call it? Should they have been over there... move one way or another.

Was September 11 a gov. conspiracy or was it for real?

Have you ever watched South Park? There are usually a lot of political topics covered on there.

Do they go too far with censorship? on television/radio?

The Rain forest? is it really that great? there are a lot of poisonous and cancer-causing plants

Sex Education in schools? Are parents putting too much pressure on the public schools teaching Sex ed over the parents? who's job is it?

Hate crimes
