I'm in Colorado dealing with Qwest, does it really matter what router w/wireless that I'm using to hook up to DSL? Why? I was looking at a Linksys, but they didn't have it on their list. Instead they are pushing the 2700HG from 2Wire, is that good enough? I'll be hooking up to a Dell PC.

A router is a router is a router. They all work the same. But they each have a different interface (software program) for configuring them. The Qwest techs are probably trained to used the 2700 interface, but not the Linksys. So it is to the companies advantage to try to keep all their customers using the same thing. But a Linksys will work fine with Qwest and with a Dell.
