i want to open a site with free photoshop tutorials. i'll use google or yahoo ad sense in that sites.
do u think one can really earn some decent amounts by google ad sense.... anybody has tried it....plz let me know....

You can earn as much as the niche visitors you have.
That come to your web site again and again for unique information.
work hard after your site or blog, know tit bits, and how to sustain and make visitors come back to your site and you are a winner.

Google Adsense is just big Fraud, I am victim of Google's False promises. They just play with small and entry-level web masters, and enjoy the entire gains from them.
I had been disabled many times by Google for un-justified reasons. They don't pay anything and disable your account after sometime. So don't waste time with Google and try to earn by some other means.

I have no opinion on the AdSense/YahooAds guys - but I know that they pay you based on "how many times you have made their Ads display on your site" - it is not about howmany pages of yours have the "Adsense/YahooAds code" embedded in your site. They would not pay you anything for embedding their ads in your pages. They would pay you if effort makes their ads display to an internet visitor.
As you may know, all that you do is to embedd a couple of lines of code in your otherwise static page - and that code will be responsible to contact the ADs server to get a different Ad each time. Adsense also uses information on your site to come up with the ads that makes sense to visitors of your site (to increase the chances of users clicking on the links).
So, finally it boils down to:
1. How many hits you expect to get on your site?
2. The quality of your material - does it give a cue to the Adsense system to display some reasonable ads that are relevant to your site visitors.
In addition to this, they also pay you based on "per click" - but this is hadly in your control, at least not when you begin.

According to the guy above me, it's a fraud :S but it entirely depends upon how many people come to your site and actually look at the ads [which factors in where the ads are placed]. If you want to make small cash by other means, I suggest www.treasuretrooper.com.

I hope better use both 50% google 50% yahoo....
If you get any other means use it also it is good for you.....
