I put in a wendy's burger in the micro for 30 seconds and I turned to check my cell phone then I went to look at the burger and it was on fire!! I have no clue why it did that! Can someone tell me why and how am I going to clean up the mess w/o runing my microwave?

You may have ruined your microwave. You are not supposed to put metal in a microwave. You may have caused damage to the emitting tube, the magnatron. You can try clean it out with something that will cut through smoke discoloration, make sure you unlpug in first. Then test it with a cup of water.

Any kind of metal in a microwave can damage it. The only way to check is to heat up something else; a cup of water (in a microwave safe cup!). You won't suffer any ill effects from eating the waffles.

u shouldnt have put any metal in there, to clean it up u might want to find like a cleaning product that cleans up rust and spray it on there and start scrubbing...hopefully it didnt destroy ur microwave too much and hopefully it didnt leave alot of rust and metal stains

Never putany metal in the wave it kills them. Easy off oven cleaner should get it clean if its not allready ruined.

whoops, I guess no one remembered to tell you that you are supposed to dip any metal in gasonline before putting it in the microwave. This protects it from the microwaves so it won't flame up like that.

As far as clean up... that's what I got a wife for.
