The same reason that married women cheat, perhaps.

I don't think it's enough space here to discuss such a complex topic.

Let's just say.... cheating on a spouse is a really selfish act. Instead of going to their spouse and communicating the problem, they cheat.

In fact, experts estimate that nearly 75 percent of married men, or men involved in serious relationships, cheat. That means three men out of every four practice infidelity, if the numbers are to be believed. And maybe even more disturbing is the simultaneous collapse of the seven-year itch, the once-disreputable length of time it was thought to normally take a man to give into sexual temptation. Today, studies show that most men who cheat are doing it within the first three years of a relationship.

That's a vast question. Perhaps I think people get bored. I believe in taking chances and spicing things up. I'm willing to try anything new to hang onto my marriage. It's a life long committment not meant to be taken lightly. Unless the man is going through something that us women are unaware of. Honesty is always best and keeps the feelings flowing so the men don't wander.

Same reason the married women cheat, they don't feel a connection with their spouse so they find someone that makes them feel spicy, and sexy, even if its for a little while.
Alot of people cheat, thats even the reason Vegas has become so popular, "What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas" Some people make their living off of other people's dirty little secrets.

Low self-esteem....same for women who cheat. If they had good self-esteem they would not cheat to try to feel attractive, they'd be happy to have that one special person to love. Some people think it's ego that makes someone cheat--that they think they are God's gift to the world, but it is not that--it is totally a lack of confidence in their own self and their own beauty. If the couple paid more attention to each other's needs and tried to fulfill them, cheating wouldn't be done by either one.

Some men think the grass is always greener, no matter how good they've got it. Others are just governed by their hormones. And some may be looking for something they "don't get at home." I'm lucky--my husband doesn't want to jeopardize what we have, and he's been threatened by at least one lady he works with that she'd better never find out if he cheated on me.

because we let them,or maybe for the same as married women do or because..who know the only one that can answer that is the one that cheats.i can set here all day and think of things, but i will never know, look all you going to get is lies, excuses, your never going to be told the truth. so you either live with it.or you you tell the one that cheated to hit the f* road.sounds easy dont it
but it isn't i know,it helps if you have a close friend that will be there for you.

Probably for the same reasons married women cheat: there is something missing in their current relationship.

It's not that married men cheat...It's the "Man" himself. If he's a cheater, he's a cheater. That's it.
I found that out too late. Even though he loves you and feels content and secured in his life with you, if he's a born cheater, nothing can satisfy him. He will regret it, but he could not be cured.
You can see all around you, millions of faithful, beautiful, successful, and intelligent wives and girlfriends get cheated by their partners all the time.
It's their sickness. Sorry if sound too 'vehemous'.

immaturity, different belief system, low self worth, poor judgment, no self control, no morale's, thinks he has found true love, as the other woman, the home wrecker, knows exactly what to do to win his love, and build him up, and he knows what he is doing to u is wrong, and just would rather not deal with it. he also has no hope or faith and maybe in his past he was hurt, and he tried to work something out, and couldn't, so now he doesn't work out problems anymore, maybe he just moves on or chooses to cheat first. he may feel he isn't getting what he should out of the marriage, and maybe is comparing it with what the other woman is doing for him, never realizing that the new relationship is in the honeymoon stage. just lack of concern and love for the women he promised to honor. lack of respect for women in general due to some past event in their lives. would rather move on to someone who doesn't know them yet, a person they can easily manipulate, and use. and having no self respect for even themselves, no self love. and they are selfish, most sin's are basically caused by being selfish.
