Jesus said, "Blessed are you when men hate you, and ostracize you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man." (Luke 6:22)
Just keep that in mind when dealing with some of the more vociferous haters in here.
And Merry Christmas!

I don't for one minute buy this new "political correctness" thinking gradually pervading Western institutions (the West is far more tolerant of foreign culture / religion /people than any other region in the world). Why the need to appease and accommodate at the expense of changing established traditions.
Did you not evolve from a Judeo-Christian foundation? If so then continue to build on this foundation. I WILL continue to say what has been appropriate for the past 2000 and i hope you will to.... "Merry Christmas" and "Blessed Christmas" to all.

I am a person with liberal views..Jesus Christ is my hero..I am not a religious person but I believe if people listen and acted on the words of Jesus Christ they'll be peace in this world..
Jesus was probably the first non-violent revolutionary and was a factor in the fall of the roman empire...Their has never been a person who has influence and change the world who has not been influence by him..in modern history Gandhi and king are good examples..
I don't believe all liberals see something wrong in the man Jesus....I think they are more upset with organized religion and conservative politics that mix up what he stood for to benefit their own views !!!

Hannakuh begins this evening at sundown.
Christians weren't the only 'religion' that has done great things for this country. I thank God that I don't live in a country where there is a 'state' religion. We are either a 'melting pot' of culture and religion and societies or we are not.
If you wish to say "Merry Christmas" then, by all means do so.

Here comes the hypocrisy.....
There is nothing wrong with you voicing your believes and showing your faith in public....as long as you give the same respect and tolerance to others.
If you say Christmas is good, you should not try to limit the freedom of Jews to celebrate Hanukkah, Wiccans to display pentagrams, or atheists for doubting your beliefs.
It only becomes an issue when you say yours is the only way....if we go down that path and lose our religious freedoms, how are we any better than the Islamic states in the middle east that say you must follow Islam or leave.
Just see answer above from birdsnake.

Christanphobia is spreading. Its as bad as antisemitism. They have an irrational hate for Christians period.

From what I have seen the problem is when people dictate to others they CAN NOT say Merry Christmas. Thats when you have the problem. You should be able to say Merry Christmas Happy Kwanza, Hannakuh...whatever.

No one says you can't celebrate Christmas. This is another non issue blown out of proportion to rile people up into hate. Christmas is so far from what it used to be about anyway, I am surprised Christians even want to associate it with Christ. Your personal beliefs are just that your personal beliefs. You have to realize not everyone worships the same way as you do, surely all Christians can't believe they are the only religion that matters.

(A) The confusion right here, that's stable, is the underlining which ability. people who say they beileve in Jesus yet they simply say that yet have not got faith it of their hearts. (B) & (C) they might bypass to church, provide funds to the poor yet why are they doing it extremely is it for egocentric motives, are they actually comitted believers. Dont take care of issues on face cost. (D) Bible states Matthew 7:13 NLT "you may enter God's Kingdom in basic terms by way of the narrow gate. The highway to hell is great, and its gate is extensive for the various that decide on that way." Secular society has a matching parrable too "its a rat race." anybody is in simple terms too busy approximately themselves that once its too previous due, its in simple terms too previous due. Its ordinary and extensive to bypass with the bypass yet the place precisely are we going. (E) this states we are actually not separated from God. Like a god or the God is a lot from a mortal human, so is a grasp and his slave, yet Jesus says you're my pals, so which you(we) are equals in a manner. we are able to confide and share our issues and pains joys and downs with eachother in bothways.

I agree with you. I think that BLUE STEEL AND LACE has the best answer. She is a wise person.
Christians are under continual persecution. It's okay, because we will get our just reward in the end.
And just let them tell us to remove all of the crosses from public places. They will feel pretty stupid when standing in Arlington National Cemetary where they can't count all of the crosses as grave markers for those who fought and died for their freedom to complain and moan.

It's not JESUS we have the problem with. It's Christians that will not tolerate others points of view. It's Christians that try of force their ideas onto others.
Leave Jesus out of it, he himself was a wonderful spiritual leader. As was Gandhi and Buddha. And many others.
Christians are the leading cause of atheism. (From the mouth of a Catholic Priest.)
Peace.
