I am the third youngest of 12. I understand the bunk bed thing, but actually it was always youngest on the bottom bunk in our house and meals ate in the kitchen while older siblings were in the dining room - plus a zillion other things. There is a word 'Bradyism' in Generation X which describes well certain traits of people from large families...

I'm next to the youngest of 6, bunk beds were definitely a must in our house too, another tip, don't sleep on the bottom bunk if your older sister pees the bed.
