Okay. I want to name my baby boy something Biblical... but i also want something unusual. I love the common names also (esp. Noah and James) but if i went with a common name, i would want to have an unusual spelling. Can anyone help me?

Esai?

It's an older version of the name Isaiah. In the first few renderings if the King James Bible, Isaiah was actually abbreviated Esai.

That could be like what you're looking for.

I would say if you pick an unusual spelling of a name it can cause problems for the child, although you may think this is cute. It can cause problems at school and in later life. People constantly spelling his name incorrectly, my SIL has an unusual name and she always have problems, and she is in her 30's.

By the way ~ Noah is a lovely name!

Good luck
