1.) Homemade honey and lemon tea.
Squeeze half a lemon into a cup of hot water. Add 2-3 spoonfuls of honey. Stir and enjoy.
2.)Take some fresh ginger. Chop it up into little pieces. Cover the ginger pieces in honey and squeeze a little lemon. Have 4 pieces 2-3 times a day.
Trust me it works. Both also good for sore throats.

Some coughs just need time to resolve. But...some are due to post nasal drip. Even my smart pharmasist husband was fooled by it. He once had a tickle in the back of his throat kind of cough and I kept telling him 'Take a decongestant" but of course, why would he listen to me? The cough went on and on until in desperation he tried it and voila! Cough went away. He thought unless his nose was actively running he couldn't have post nasal drip. But that is why they call it *post* nasal. You can't see it. You only feel it dripping down your throat causing you to...cough!

That nagging cough may be due to a common cold or a number of other infections. According to research or other evidence, the following self-care steps may help you stop the coughing and care for your lungs:

if it's a tickly cough, just try to cough it out and take a couple teaspoons of an expectorant, like benilyn's cough syrup. that will make you cough more.
if it's a dry cough and you have a sore throat, gargle with salt water a few times and overload on hall's soothers. works for me!

papaya or pawpaw seeds cure it fast with no side effects. after eating the pawpaw flesh you add a teaspoonfull or two (as you can handle) and chew it up. you may swallow everything or spit out the chaff after swallowing the minty juice of the seeds. the seeds are minty but in a natural and nice sorta way.
try it . works like majic and very cheap, natural and healthy with no side effects

you need a really strong cough syrup - the over the conter ones are rubbish, so go in the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist for one, which should work better.
