30K is alright if you are single and no children. It's an expensive place to live, though....so, perhaps between 40 - 50 would be better (you should of course, be working toward more and more all the time)

The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career. Agood salary is dependent on the area you live. for Washington D C it would be about $35,000. I say this based on the cost of living in that area.It is also based on your skills. My answer is based solely on living at above poverty and not being a highly skilled professional. You can check other sources such as Careerbuilders.com. They have a calculator for this.

I think it depends on what your doing. My colleague is 25 and he only get £14,000 PA and my other friend friend is on £28,000! But they do different things.

So i guess a good wage would be about £20,000 PA.

Hope that helps.
