You had to reboot , or reinstall ???

If youre running XP, goto Device Manager and see how many are showing up, then click "add hardware" ...

XP doesnt have USB drivers so you must have done something wrong...

Goto your BIOS and make sure all are enabled

Go into the Control Panel, click on the System icon, go to the Hardware tab, and the Device Manager
Scroll down to the USB section of the hardware listing
Click the + in front to display all the USB devices
Right click and uninstall ALL the USB devices
Reboot and it should redetect them

Sometimes if a USB device is detected in one port and then moved to another, the USB ports get "confused" and stop working. By removing and readding them, you clear out the information and they get "unconfused".
