Actually he did. He's said it in a song "I Really Want You" the line is "I killed a man, in a far away land..."
And he's said in interviews that as part of the bombing campaign and as a matter of survival while in Bosnia he did have to take lives.
I don't think he's proud of it, and in fact nowadays will just say that he thinks it's more important to him to focus on how many lives he saved, rather than how many he took.
On side note, according to a USA today article from 2/23/2006
"His war-zone experiences inspired the tune No Bravery, and playing it triggers flashbacks, including his encounter with Serbs who were joking and perusing a porn magazine while standing near Albanians they had murdered. The genocide he witnessed sears his memory."

Of course not! It may mean that he was Willing. Depends on whether or not he signed up as a noncombatant.

Not necessarily, it depends where he was deployed, what positions he held, and how long he was actually in the army.
