yes its gonna hurt i worked for a family as a nanny and their dad had at least 10 kidney stones in the several years i worked there it got to the point his wife would pull the stint out her self in the bathroom. i rember that when they removed it it was painful but the pain did not last long and is less with in hours some cases days. get your self some pain medication if your really worried it might help good luck

I would think that the stent caused a great deal of pain in the urinary tract which also caused cramping. Having the stent removed should releive the cramping. The removal process should not take all that long though it will be uncomfortable as they go up through the urethra to remove the stent. It may be a long process if you do not void right away.
