I was thinking about that the other day.
A boyfriend or girlfriend is one in a committed relationship. But a girlfriend can be a female's buddy. A boyfriend is never a male's buddy.
A male friend or lady friend is a buddy of the opposite sex.
So what is a man's male buddy? I guess, just friend.
