As part of the third phase of pre employment with a police agency I will have to take a polygraph......is there anything that you can do to resonably prepare yourself for this......what can i expect? is the best to tell the truth about all things even if they dont paint me in the best light?

prepare to be nervous. you absolutely must tell the truth about everything. have you ever broken the law? that means breaking the speed limit, running stop signs, stealing etc. but before you take the test the administrator will sit down and ask you a million questions. like have you ever done illegal drugs? if so, what? how many times? when was the last time? have you ever stolen from work? have you ever sold stolen goods? it is very nerve wracking and you will feel like you have broken the law and are going to prison. tell the truth! i have taken two lie detector tests. i hope i never have to take one again.

there are many ways to beat a poly but if you are not experienced in beating one don't even try, they will be able to see right through you, tell the truth, at least this way they know that you are honest.
