I saw an episode that had 3 generations of the van Dyke family in it: Dick, Barry and Paul. Rippin it up van Dyke styyyyle.

Up until recently it was shown on BBC1 just after lunchtime. We've dubbed it Diagnosis Boredom. Half the cast & crew members seem to be members of the Van Dyke family, including the son in the programme, who's Dick Van Dyke's real son, despite looking absolutely nothing like him. I think some questions need to be asked there...

Yes, I do remember, it wasn't a bad show at that. Dick had his own show years ago with Mary Tyler Moore called the Dick Van Dyke Show and he starred in Mary Poppins with Julie Andrews. That is his real name, well, actually Richard Van Dyke (same diff), anyhow, here's a link that's good.

yes, it is shown on sky in the uk all the time, sometimes there seem to be more van dykes than the rest of the cast, a fun easy going programme

Yes, His son played the detective, and quite a few of his grandchildren had parts throughout the series.

Isn't it still on? When i was unemployed I used to get up at 2pm to watch it as I had nothing better to do with my day... Truesay, its a funny name, but I bet it got him noticed as an actor! I wonder if its his real name???

i love it it has just finished on channel 1 murder she wrote is on now gutted used 2 watch it on my break in work and his name is funny but sounds like a detective name but he is called doctor sloan in the show
