Very long jail sentences. There is a major counterfeiting case either before the courts just now, ongoing or ended, not sure which. If you go to the Old Bailey site you may be able to find out something or try New Scotland Yard.

The Treasury and Bank of England will pursue counterfeiters to the ends of the Earth and beyond if necessary and press for a conviction. Funny Money leads to inflationary problems in anyone's economy and the UK Gov is red hot on maintaining as low inflation as poss - now approx 2.7% (or call it 3 for cash).

If you are thinking of counterfeiting as a career, don't. You'll get caught and they will hurl you bodily into a small damp cell, throw away the key and let you rot. In English law, you'll be classified as worse than even the person who is murdering prostitutes in Suffolk right now.

Please note that the Bank of England also print money for many foreign countries as well - they will pursue a counterfeiter of almost any currency worldwide. This applies as much to the counterfeiting of the mighty US dollar as it does to the English Pound.

That tells you the sorry state of the uk with the government wrecking it! you would probably get 10-15 years for counterfiet, yet if you kill someone in the uk you would probably get 8yrs in prison and do half by the time they take into count godd behaviour, addmitance etc!

You will need a good colour scanner and printer. Try making the counterfeits as badly as possible, and when you are told the money looks fake say that you were given them from the Bank in Scotland.

Quite severe. We're talking about money here, far more important than people.
