as far as I know if you dream that someone dies it means that that person will have a long life.
From my personal experience I can tell you that I dream about my great grandmother dying when I was 6 and she lived 12 more years. She was 91 years old when she died.
So don't worry.

It means that for whatever reason, that person is on your conscience.

I don't believe in "psychic" dreams... I believe that your inner intelligence, your sense of self or your conscience is using your brains down time to remind you of those you may be neglecting, hurting, forgetting... whatever?

Drama is what rallies us as humans... it is what gets us to sit up and focus, sit tight amid a world of concerns and duties and take notice. The brain (having loads to go by in lieu of televising alone) creates a dramatic scenario around a person that may need your attention, affection, care or concern.

There is only a Small margin of incidences where the brain is actually right... and provides the dreamer, ahead of time, the information it needs to prevent a fatality or foresee danger.
