Come on Dave...you know the answer to this! Do you really think that anyone can come one here and answer this question other than one way?
As far as one dimensioanlity goes, we have barely figured-out the closet planets to the Earth. We have just developed tools that can analyze the composition of nearby stars. If you stood in the middle of the desert and there was only sand as far as you could see, the equivalent distance of all the stars in the sky would be the rocks that were 3-6 inches from your feet. So if you are making the assumption, which you have the right to do, that space ends at some distant place, then what do you think you would find? If it ends, then you will either hit a solid surface, or a barrier that you might, or might not be able to get through. What do you think? I don't know. No one one knows an answer to this question.
You can also ask about different dimensions, if they exist. If you were able to slip into a different dimension, that means that 1...there is space for you to exist, 2...there is not space for you to exist, or any one of a billion other possibilities. This is not the stuff of science...it is the stuff of science fiction.
When you spend time looking through a telescope, as I have for a long time, you are constantly reminded of the first rule of interfacing with things of such magnitude, size and distance: "Don't worry about it". But it's fun to think about!

Thee answer to this question is limited to our imagination which is dependant upon our faculties and to think outside what we are capable of doing as humans is difficult to fathom.
We have to be able to stand outside of space and time itself to be able to see what was there before and what comes after

Space is Infinity. There is nothing after it because it never ends.

Only more space because as long as you are trapped within your body and you are confined to earth. There is only more space.
