Because he has missed numerous amounts of pratice since he's been here in Philly. Dosn't play defense. Your right they needed another scorer. They had a trade last year that almost went down. The 76ers would trade the other AI on the team to Indiana for Ron Artest.

I wouldn't say AI is a selfish player by choice necessarily, he is just a natural very very talented scorer and never had to learn to share the ball and we all know you cant teach an old dog new tricks, somewhere when he was in college or a rookie some coach forgot to teach him the value of sharing and thats how he learned to play, its not fair to expect him to change now.

you forgot about jerry stackhouse, larry hughes and aaron mckie. they were in their prime. AI is a selfish player because it has been proven you need two players to win a championship. A I is the man in philly and doesnt share the ball with anybody. he shoots the ball about 30 times a game. jordan had pippen. magic had kareem, shaq had kobe and wade, hakeem had kenny smith, robinson had duncan, duncan had parker and ginobli etc. you get the point? selfish players dont win a championship. BARKLEY MALONE EWING WILKINS have none. they were the stars on their team and always took the last shot and never deferred to another player. when you live and die with your star player you wont ever win a title.

i think they see it as how many shots a night he puts up or his attitude toward practice. but, the way i see it, he can pass the ball too. he's proven that throughout his whole career. i mean, he's AI, of course he's gonna take his shots, but at the same time, he looks for his teammates. i think of him as a team player in disguise, because he looks for his shots, then dishes it to someone else.

who in the nba forces more shots? If he played within the offence he could get a few wide open shots not having to force everything
