I love both American and British singers even though my fave band are from New jersey.
I haven't listened to Italian music before but am a fan of Irish musicians.

I think i prefer American singers.. although one of my favs is actually Australian (Delta Goodrem).
British music like Keane, Snow Patrol, James Blunt, Damien Rice and Coldplay seems to have got quite dull and depressing... afraid that's not my style... and i have always like contemporary country singers so I guess I prefer American. Plus Bon Jovi will always be my all time favs :)
I'm afraid I don't know much about Italian music so can't really comment on it.

American/Italian crooners like Dean Martin and co really had something special, then there was rocker/crooner Bobby Darin, boy, could he sing. Anyhow, I did a head count of my fave American, English and Aussie singers. It ended thus, USA = 19, England = 23, Australian = 24, Guess it's the Aussies for me! Ph, for the record, my all time fave Aussie was the late Bon Scott, former lead singer of AC/DC. He wasn't the greatest of singers but he had a way of selling a song like no other and to hear him live was better by half than on record.

I collect and appreciate all music except Hi Hop. I don't care where the singer is from. I care about talent, their voice and the song. During the 50's and early 60's it seemed like many of the best singers were Italian.

British singers. Maybe that's being somewhat zenophobic or something, but i suppose i can relate to them better being British too. Saying that, I like quite a lot of American singers too; I dunno! Haven't really heard enough Italian music to comment. I'm sure it'll be like British and American; some are fabulous and brighten up your life, others make you want to pull out your own teeth...

British, I love British New Wave 80s.
I can't say I've heard any Italian music. My son likes some Italian trance/techno stuff, he says they are really 'out there'.

I prefer British singers, purely because our music is more harmonious.
People like Elton John, Rod Stewart etc..
Though I do love the American Oldies, like Lionel Ritchie & anything Motown. (Eminem has destroyed the memory of Detroit)
As for Italian music, I love 'Non me lo so spiegare' by Tiziano Ferro, I have his '111' Centoundidi Album, 'Buono Notte Te' is good from that album too,
He did a duet with Jamelia for the Athens Olympics which was good, Jamelia is from my home town of Birmingham
BTW I love Italy, I have a house in Puglia near Ostuni.
