If you are asking if you should consider buying a Turbo Diesel I would say YES and YES and YES.
I would also recommend for clean burn and efficiency to get one of the more modern CDI, TDI type of common rail motors. These cars out perform any gasoline engine of the same or close displacement.
If you plan on running Bio fuels then get your hands on a pre-CDI / TDI motor. The older motors can actually run on straight plant oils like a big old can of Corn oil. The newer cars can only use Bio-Diesel if they have been fitted to do so.... NEVER run Bio-diesel in a car unless it is specifically say you can. The new Bio-Diesels are crap. You get less miles per gallon, you don't save any money and it costs more to have an engine that can use it.
