Hello. I have a Sears Homart gas furnace and I am wondering if anyone knows how old it could be. It is one that vents through a large pipe to the chimney and has a pilot light. Does anyone know from which dates Sears sold these? I am just curious. Thanks.

Standing pilot furnaces were common from the early fifties through the late seventies.

Take the serial numbers down and give Sears a call, I'm sure they'd know.
