Start out part time to establish yourself. Make sure you cover your buns by getting the necessary legal paperwork (business license, food license, taxes). You want to make sure that you cover yourself financially and legally. You have options as to whether you want to open a retail store or sell online or sell through existing businesses or ???. As I said, you have options. Don't sit on your dream... do something with it. Start a business plan to test the market and profitability. There are alot of expenses to a business so make sure you can cover them with your own savings or with investments from your family, friends, bank or private investors. Learn as much as you can about the industry before taking the plunge and don't give up. Your local library will help you obtain the forms for a business plan. That will show you in black and white (hopefully no red) how profitable the idea is. Be honest with yourself. This is your life we are talking about.
