if i said i have never worked for a year, would you think i have never worked for a year total? or in a row?

well i think it depends on what you are trying to say...

If you implying that you haven't worked for one year since right now,..

then you would say, I have not worked in a year....

know what i'm saying?

i would think that you have never worked for a year in a row.
