my husband and i are trying to conceive and i bought some ovulation tests and discovered i ovulated day 29 instead of day 14 and i too was 2 weeks late with neg results, i guess that if you have ovulated later then you will have neg results. All i can say is relax, if you're pregnant you will get a positive result soon, if not your period will come (as mine did). The worry alone can make you have symptoms and put your menstrual cycle back. It will happen, my advice is forget about it and you'll soon conceive. good luck xxx

PLEASE stop asking here if you're pregnant. For how long now have you been asking? And how often? Good grief. Okay, you want to be. Great. But. Enough.

And, read a bit more about it in the meantime rather than just crossing your fingers over the few people here who'll tell you "sure, there is such a thing as a false negative. Maybe you are" and getting your hopes up. Spotting isn't necessary. Loads of women have no early symptoms. Almost all of the standard signs of early pregnancy (save for the hCG in the urine, which is, apparently, the only one you're willing to dismiss) can also be caused by stress or your menstrual cycle.

Finally: If you can't afford a blood test, how are you going to afford a baby?

First of all you can be pregnant and get negative test. Im nearly 3 weeks late, dont know why, but i have been pregnant before and it took a while for the tests to come up positive i had to find out by a blood test. You might have ovulated late wait another week to take test then i would advise getting blood test, if you are pregnant there could be something wrong eg. ectopic pregnancy.

The most likely explanation is that you are worried about being pregnant. The human brain is an amazing, and strange, organ. While you can't think yourself pregnant, or worry yourself pregnant, you can come close. Many women experience many symptoms of pregnancy when they are either worried about being pregnant, or very anxious because they have been trying to get pregnant. In such cases periods can be very late, or even entirely skipped. All of this is pretty common. The urine test is pretty accurate, so I wouldn't worry too much. Keep going back to the clinic if your period never comes, but remember, the more you worry about it, the less likely you are to have your next period.

P.S. For most women these symptoms last for 1-3 months. Some women have actually become so convinced that they were pregnant that they had ALL symptoms of pregnancy, including weight gain, enlarged breasts, lactation, even labor, but no baby (of course). That, however, is EXTREMELY rare, but an example of what the human brain IS capable of.

well spotting isn't a symptom to start, it's something that some women get but most women don't. if your 2 weeks late and a pregnancy test is neg then i doubt that you are preg, did you try the clearblue test? you can you them a few days before your period, so that would be the best test to use?

dun worry so much. sometimes, it depends on ur husband's effort in making out a baby too. normally, there are several similar symptoms to those of pregnancy. but nauseating, appetite loss can mean poor blood circulation due to stress or overwork. ur husband & u have 2 put in more effort in engaging in more sexual activity like twice a day or a week regardless of work. try some chinese tonics in promoting successful fertilisation of the ovaries. seek chinese physicians' help or advice. usually, the rich fertilisation period begins 7 days after the menstrual cycle starts. so keep it up, work harder!

hi,when i was pregnant with my son it wouldnt show up on a test until i was eight weeks pregnant ,so i can understand your frustration.
i would suggest that you just try to relax ,as sometimes when you are stressed your periods stop, which may be happening.i know thats easier said than done!
also i tryed not to do a test too often ,limited it to one a week,so that i didnt drive myself crazy.
you may also have a hormone imbalance ,so if nothing shows up in a few weeks ,the herb ,vitex agnus castus is fantastic for balancing your hormones,i have been using for years as i suspect i have pcos,so i swear by by it.but if you use it expect it to take one to three months to settle your hormones down.
anyway ,keep hanging in there, and i hope you get the result you want :)

Sometimes you just want to be pregnant so bad that your body fakes it. The mind is a powerful thing. If two tests have been negative, then wait till your next cycle and see if you start. Until a test confirms it, then its just hoping.
