I'd say probably not... 99% certain. While I think he could be back up to speed with a year off, after that, a possible return to F1 would diminish with each passing day as it would be unlikely that he could race competively. And before a year off, it's unlikely he'd have a change of heart and want to come back.

Now, there is one scenario I can envision with him racing for Ferrari in F1 again... imagine mid or late season, and Kimi is forced to miss a race for whatever reason. The standings are tight, and the coming race is at Spa (or another Schumi favorite track). I could see him being asked in that case, and that he might consider that one off type deal.

Ultimately though, the chance is that he'll consult for Ferrari and make public appearances. Maybe he'll test for them at some point to give feedback on future F1 cars. And I suspect he'll take a go at racing again in some other form (Sports car or touring car would be my guess). But I don't think a return to F1 or Ferrari F1 is in the cards.

Yeah it would be great if he returns to Ferrari for the next season but recently in a press meet he has clarified that he is not going to return to F1 reason being he want to spend time with his family

Remember that Schumi is still a part of Ferrari, just not as a driver. He is special assistant to CEO Jean Todt. As for returning to racing, I doubt it. He might return to testing, though.

He has been offered a position at Ferrari, but he will never again race in F1. He may do the occasional test though.

He hasn't cut the umbilical cord with Ferrari and I suspect he won't. He'll be with Ferrari in some capacity for awhile yet, but it won't be as a driver.

Not as a driver, that's for sure (thank God!!!!!); he said it himself that if you miss a year in current F1, you're done for. Maybe in an advisory role in the team, McLaren plan to do the same thing with Hakkinen.

Yes he will. He will do the occasional test drive, and help look for talented new drivers.

I don't know where I found this out, but I did.
